68% of 13-14 year olds own or have access to a smartphone. That percentage may seem low when you look at any group of middle schoolers at leisure! Access to technology and social media is ubiquitous. I'll discuss what this means in terms of our middle schoolers' emotional and cognitive development. We'll look at both the upsides and downsides to constant access to smartphones and other technology, and I'll share proactive and practical tools and resources for parenting in this age of technological saturation. This event is designed for parents of 4th through 8th graders at The Bush School.
